In a physical classroom, a teacher can see a confused look, a raised hand, or an engaged nod. In a virtual setting, these cues are often lost. This is why one of the key pillars of the Virtual Auditorium project is the development of a Quality of Interaction (QoI) metric.
QoI moves beyond simply tracking attendance. It uses AI to analyze how students are interacting with digital materials and with their peers. Are they actively contributing to discussions? Are they struggling with certain concepts? The QoI score provides educators with a measurable, actionable insight into student engagement in real-time. This allows teachers to identify disengaged or struggling learners early on and intervene with personalized support, ensuring that no student is left behind in the digital classroom.
