One of the most innovative elements of the SafeOnline project is the Interactive Learning Module, developed and delivered by Infinitivity Design Labs. This module takes cyberbullying education beyond traditional information-based approaches by placing students in realistic, scenario-driven learning experiences.
Designed for students aged 10–14, the interactive simulator allows learners to explore common online situations where cyberbullying may occur. Through guided scenarios, students are encouraged to make decisions, reflect on possible outcomes, and understand the emotional and social consequences of online behaviour. This experiential approach helps transform abstract concepts—such as empathy, responsibility, and digital resilience—into practical skills.
IDL led the design, development, and implementation of the simulator, including the creation of scenarios aligned with the project’s educational objectives. The module was fully integrated into the SafeOnline e-learning platform, ensuring a seamless user experience and easy access for schools. IDL also coordinated the testing and validation of the interactive module, working with partners to ensure pedagogical relevance, age appropriateness, and technical reliability.
By combining interactivity with structured guidance, the simulator supports students in developing critical thinking and safe decision-making skills in digital environments. It also provides educators with a powerful tool to initiate discussions, reflection, and follow-up activities in the classroom.
Through this interactive module, IDL has helped position SafeOnline as a forward-looking project that embraces learning by doing, demonstrating how digital innovation can play a central role in preventing cyberbullying and promoting safer online experiences for young people.
