The rapid expansion of digital technologies has transformed the way young people learn, communicate, and socialise. While online environments offer countless opportunities, they also expose students to serious risks—one of the most pressing being cyberbullying. The SafeOnline project was created to address this challenge and help schools foster safer, more inclusive digital spaces.
SafeOnline is an Erasmus+ co-funded initiative that aims to empower students, educators, and school communities with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent and respond to cyberbullying. The project focuses on strengthening digital literacy, resilience, and emotional wellbeing, especially among students with fewer opportunities who may be more vulnerable online.
By combining research-based approaches with innovative digital tools, SafeOnline supports schools across Europe in building a culture of respect, safety, and responsibility in online environments. Through training, open educational resources, and interactive learning experiences, the project ensures that digital safety education is practical, engaging, and accessible.
