REMIND – A Journey That Continues Beyond the Project

As the REMIND project comes to a formal close, its impact continues to resonate across the communities, organisations, and individuals who have been part of its journey. What began as an initiative to safeguard Traditional Sports and Games has evolved into a broader movement that connects heritage, education, and community development across Europe.

Throughout its duration, REMIND brought together partners from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, all united by a shared belief in the value of traditional games. Together, they explored how these practices could be documented, revitalised, and adapted to contemporary social and educational contexts. This collaborative process strengthened relationships between organisations and created a network that extends far beyond the project itself.

One of REMIND’s most significant achievements has been the creation of lasting resources, including digital learning materials, best-practice videos, and the REMIND App. These tools remain available to support grassroots organisations, educators, and cultural practitioners in their ongoing work. They provide practical guidance, inspiration, and opportunities for continued exchange.

Beyond tangible outputs, REMIND has helped raise awareness about the importance of Traditional Sports and Games at both local and European levels. It has demonstrated that tradition and innovation can work hand in hand, offering new perspectives on how cultural heritage can contribute to social inclusion, well-being, and regional development.

Although the project will be officially concluded, the spirit of REMIND lives on in the communities that continue to share, celebrate, and practice traditional games. The connections formed, the knowledge generated, and the values promoted will continue to shape future initiatives and collaborations.
