REMIND – Remote Remembrances to Foster the Future

REMIND (Remote Remembrances to Foster the Future: Traditional Sport and Games Potential) is a European cooperation project funded under the Erasmus+ Sport programme that focuses on the preservation, revitalisation, and contemporary use of Traditional Sports and Games across Europe. The project recognises that these practices are not merely historical pastimes but valuable cultural assets that can contribute to social inclusion, education, community cohesion, and regional development.

Bringing together a diverse consortium of partners from multiple European countries, REMIND creates a space for dialogue, exchange, and collective learning around traditional games. The project builds bridges between grassroots organisations, cultural associations, educators, researchers, and policymakers, fostering a shared commitment to safeguarding living heritage.

A central objective of REMIND is to support local practitioners and community organisations who play a key role in keeping traditions alive. Through digital tools, training resources, and collaborative activities, the project equips them with practical methodologies to document, promote, and adapt traditional games in ways that resonate with contemporary society.

REMIND also places strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusivity. Its outputs are designed to be multilingual, user-friendly, and adaptable to different cultural contexts, ensuring that a wide range of stakeholders can benefit from them.

At the heart of the project lies the REMIND App, a digital platform that hosts educational materials, best-practice videos, and community spaces for exchange and networking. This ensures that REMIND’s impact extends beyond the project’s lifetime, creating a lasting legacy for Traditional Sports and Games in Europe.
