On the 10th of October 2025, the ePhyLi Final Conference took place in Cyprus, marking a significant milestone for the ePhyLi project and its mission to promote Physical Literacy across Europe. This event brought together experts, educators, and stakeholders from the fields of physical education, sports, and health to reflect on the journey of the project and to discuss the future of physical literacy in educational systems and communities.
A Warm Welcome and Powerful Opening Remarks
The day kicked off with registration and a welcome coffee, where attendees had the chance to mingle and prepare for an inspiring day ahead. The official opening was delivered by Dr. Efstathios Christodoulides from UCLan Cyprus and a representative from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, setting the tone for the conference with a focus on the importance of physical literacy in fostering healthier, more active communities.

Following the opening remarks, Dr. Olia Tsivitanidou of UCLan Cyprus provided an insightful overview of the ePhyLi project journey. Next, Dr. Attilio Carraro, from UniBz and an AIESEP Board Member, explored the relationship between Quality Physical Education and Physical Literacy. Showcasing ePhyLi’s Impact: A Collaborative Effort
One of the most anticipated sessions of the day was the Showcasing ePhyLi Project Outputs. Dr. Jana Vasickova (EUPEA), Dr. Antonino Mulè (UniBz), Dr. Nicos Kasenides (UCLan Cyprus), and our Fabiola Fick from Infinitivity Design Labs. They took the stage to present the tangible results of the ePhyLi project, which you can see here. Their contributions illustrated how the project has developed frameworks, educational resources, and tools that have empowered educators, coaches, and parents to promote physical literacy effectively in various settings.
Interactive Session and Coffee Break: The Facilitator’s Framework
In the afternoon, attendees engaged in an interactive session led by Mr. Nigel Green, where he introduced the Physical Literacy Facilitator’s Framework. This reflective guide, designed for teachers, coaches, and parents, provided practical insights into how to integrate physical literacy into everyday practices, creating environments that foster learning and physical development. The session was followed by a well-deserved coffee break, offering everyone the chance to network and discuss the key takeaways.
