TET4CL

Project Summary

TET4CL is a three-year European project funded by the Erasmus+ programme (KA220-SCH), built around two simple but powerful ideas: the the technology-enhanced toys (TET) children play with can be powerful tools for learning, and that the adults supporting those children deserve practical, evidence-based training to confidently make use of those toys in a meaningful, educational way. These toys have become ubiquitous over the years, but having toys is one thing and knowing how to use them in ways that are creative and genuinely educational is another. TET4CL aims to close this gap.

The project’s main objectives include:

  • Providing unbiased TET reviews to help guide both parents and teachers seeking to incorporate them into their educational routines or practices.
  • Build a professional community of practice and ongoing professional development materials for educators that focus on STEAM topics and build confidence when weaving TETs into their everyday teaching.
  • Reach educators and education policy makers in at least 10 countries, while delivering a research-backed, evidence-based framework for the use of TETs in educational contexts.

IDL is responsible for the ideation, creation and implementation of the project’s website and learning management system (LMS), as well as the creation and feedback collection related to the TET activity card database.
