The Bots4Business project (Fostering AI and Chatbot Skills for the Green and Digital Transition in VET) is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Vocational Education and Training (VET) (Project No. 2024-1-AT01-KA220-VET-000245796). It focuses on strengthening the digital readiness and innovation capacity of vocational learners, educators, and SMEs through the use of AI-driven chatbot technologies. The project’s central goal is to make artificial intelligence and conversational tools accessible and practical for VET contexts, supporting the twin digital and green transitions in Europe.
The project targets VET students, trainers, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that need to adapt to a rapidly evolving technological environment. It promotes the integration of AI literacy and automation tools into vocational training to boost employability, productivity, and environmental awareness. Through hands-on learning and practical applications, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to develop, deploy, and use chatbots as tools for business innovation and customer engagement.
The main outcomes of Bots4Business include:
A competence framework defining essential AI and chatbot-related skills for VET learners.
A training curriculum and toolkit combining digital, entrepreneurial, and sustainability competences.
A web-based learning platform with interactive materials, simulations, and best-practice resources.
Pilot trainings and multiplier events to test and disseminate results across European VET institutions.
IDL leads the development of the Bots4Business online learning environment and contributes to the creation of AI and chatbot simulation tools used in training. IDL is responsible for designing the user experience of the learning platform, ensuring accessibility and engagement, and co-developing the digital learning materials that integrate technology with pedagogical goals. It also supports dissemination activities and ensures that all outputs are open, user-centered, and adaptable for long-term use across VET systems.
